a new year – at last . . .

&
my
second
small
work-
catalogue!

I still have the cancellations of the last three years in my head,
but hope is rising that things will finally return to normal.
The »artbook berlin« in November 2022 was my first event without compulsory masks since 2019 – and BEAUTIFUL it was!
2021 – for the 8th Biennale of BuchKunst Weimar I was able to publish the small edition of the first catalogue booklet of my work –
or rather an atmospheric picture book …. :
»SAILING THE ART / CRAFT DIVIDE«.
In 2022 my picture book »SUN PRINTS« followed in the same format,
and is, like the postcards, available in my webshop at
wabi-sabi-works
but above all at my stand at exhibitions and fairs –
which can now take place (almost) “normally” again.
The reunion after the two years break at the Homburg Summer Academy in summer 2022
was a great pleasure, and there will be this lovely opportunity for exchange + experimentation again next summer.

My first exhibition dates in 2023:

Spring 2019

TIME FLIES …!  Winter’s almost over, the days are getting longer,
and I have lots of ideas and plans for the not-so-new-anymore year – including a very special highlight:
I’m embarking on another book project (for Haupt Verlag publishers, of course);
the pub date is set for the fall of 2020.
Entirely refreshed and highly inspired I returned from a trip to Japan this past October,
a trip that had – nine years after my stay there as an artist in residence – long been overdue.
Now I’m looking forward to delving into new adventures involving paper and books!
I’ll be teaching another summer course at Sommerakademie Homburg,
and after a one-year hiatus I’ll also be exhibiting again at Mainzer Minipressen-Messe, the international fair for small publishers and book artists.

…and again
there’s
a new book
in sight!

Look for me at blauvogelbuch:
